We organise Rail Trailbikes, panniers and luggage
forwarding. We
are ticketing agents for all Central Otago transport services
from Dunedin, Queenstown and Wanaka, airport shuttle to Dunedin,
the
Taieri Gorge Railway's scenic train and the Dunedin-Middlemarch-Clyde-Queenstown Rail Trail Shuttle service. Our base in Middlemarch is
bus pick-up and drop-off point for passengers, mountain bikes
and luggage. We can also arrange rental cars.
We organise air transport between Queenstown and
Clyde/Alexandra or Middlemarch (minimum 2) and airport shuttle
in Queenstown. Passengers flying from Middlemarch may like to
fly over the Rail Trail to see their ride from the air. All passengers
have a window seat to enjoy the amazing scenery as well as
an individual headset to hear the pilot's informative commentary.
We organise accommodation anywhere on the Rail
Trail whether for groups or individuals, and we offer all types
of accommodation (motels, cabins, B & B, backpackers, tent
sites and power points).
From our extensive experience
we understand the issues as evidenced by our
many happy customers.
We would like to thank you all (Marnie, Donna, Claire and any others who might have helped) for organizing our Rail Trail trip.
We had a great time, the weather was kind, the scenery magnificent, the bikes comfortable and well maintained, the accommodation excellent, and our hosts all very hospitable. This included the loan of her car by the owner of No 9 B&B in Ranfurly so that we could visit Naseby and try curling.
The spa pool at Hawkesview in Omakau was a bonus that we did not expect, as were the pre-dinner drinks at The Mill House in Oturehua.
All in all, a wonderful experience and a service that we would have no hesitation in recommending to our friends.
Regards
Maxine & Denis Gadd |

We have been involved with the Otago
Central Rail Trail Trust and the Taieri
Gorge Limited (TGL
- the scenic train) since their inception, and we worked closely with the Department
of Conservation (DOC) right from the
beginning of the Rail Trail. We instigated the Rail
Trail Duathlon event in 1995 and were the race coordinators for the The
Great NZ Rail Trail Challenge during the first four years. |
